At Lefty’s on the Square, we’re all about creating an unforgettable experience.
From the moment you step through our doors, you’ll feel the blend of history, charm and modern elegance.
We opened in October 2023, introducing what we call a “speakeasy-inspired, upscale casual restaurant and cocktail lounge,” to Magnolia, Arkansas—in what we believe to the first of it’s kind in the modern-era.
The Vision
Lefty’s is the latest visionary creation by owners Christy Ouei and Burt Adams.
Building on the success of their first restaurant, MuleKick, which opened in 2019, Burt and Christy embarked on a bold new journey to create something transformative.
Their goal was to bring Magnolia an immersive dining experience that could rival those found in metropolitan cities—delivering exceptional quality in food, atmosphere, and service.
With Lefty’s, they sought to craft a place the town had never seen before but truly deserved. Designed with a nod to history of the Prohibition era, Lefty’s seamlessly blends timeless charm with a modern, elevated dining experience.
The Details
Their attention to detail shines throughout Lefty’s, from the meticulously restored century-old building to the newly crafted 30-foot bar, “Inter-Stella.”
Inspired by a Prohibition-era bar rumored to have been secretly shipped from Chicago in the 1920s, this stunning centerpiece, named after Lefty Miller’s wife, features over 2,000 fiber optic lights and 500 pounds of individuall laid fire rocks, seamlessly blending historic charm with modern, dramatic design.

In just our first year, we were honored to win AY Magazine’s Best New Restaurant in Arkansas for 2023.
Adding to our accolades, our signature 1921 Burger—a tribute to the year Francis “Lefty” Miller won the building in a poker game—was recognized in 2024 by the Arkansas Beef Council as one of the Top 10 burgers in the state.
These achievements reflect our commitment to creating a dining experience that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
Elevated Eating
Our dinner menu is built around with “New American Cuisine” in mind. We’ve kept it small and focused in order to keep the quality and consistency at the highest level.
And while we occasionally rotate one or two items to keep things fresh, our staples—like the 12-ounce House Cut Ribeye, slow-cooked Pork Shank Sous Vide, and the award-winning 1921 Burger—are usually always here to stay.

As much as we’re a restaurant, we also take great pride in being a full-fledged cocktail bar, and we develop our bar program with that in mind.
